Design Preparation

The design system encompasses essential functions:

  • Create, match, and combine patterns and designs
  • Bring patterns into repeat
  • Reduce the number of colors
  • Coloration – showcasing a design in various colorways
  • RIP – Color Management Module

RIP - Color Management Module

The color management tool, part of the RIP software, divides the design and color information into TIFF files controlling inkjet nozzles. The RIP relies on ICC profiles containing details about inks, linearization, saturation, base material (carpet), and increasingly handles functions like:

  • Cost calculation
  • Interaction with web shops and order systems
  • Adding contours and cutting marks

ICC Profiling Module

ICC profiling involves two steps for all instruments and equipment (camera, scanner, monitor, paper, printer, sample printer, production printer):

  • 1. Linearization – assess fiber saturation
  • 2. Color measurement – print a test chart, measure, and compare with a target file.

Ink Selection

An inkjet system combines print head, driver, waveform, ink system, and software. Ink selection is crucial, and we collaborate with global ink manufacturers based on criteria such as fastness requirements, color gamut, brilliancy, color depth, runnability, shelf life, concentration, fixation rate, costs, and availability.

What We Do?

By leveraging this knowledge, we produce both commercial and residential flooring products.
